BENJAMIN TEH – MANAGING DIRECTOR, PRINCIPAL TRAINER

Ben earned his first paycheck some 25 years back straight out of National Service. His early career was in the Information Technology arena as a programmer for the Insurance and Stock Broking sector. Hundreds of thousands of lines of programming code later plus a desire for a more altruistic career, he left and joined the insurance industry as a field agent for several years. This was followed by a stint as a business owner for a software development outfit. In the late 1990s’, he stumbled into the recruitment industry and what was meant as a short term interim assignment lasted for the next 15 years.

During that time, he got to work with fantastic household brands like Autodesk, BlackBerry, Levi Strauss & eBay; leading recruitment teams across the APAC region. In his last corporate role, he was the Recruitment Director for a US Listed MNC in the Business Intelligence space with responsibility over Asia Pacific + Japan, Europe, Middle East & Africa. He has reviewed literally hundreds of thousands of resumes, interviewed thousands and hired many hundreds. From receptionists to CxOs. He has travelled extensively into more than 20 countries and many countless cities. However, his familiarity extends little beyond airports and hotels.

He was also the first few to joined LinkedIn when it was first launched in 2003. Today he is a recognized LinkedIn expert, twice certified. (LinkedIn Certified Professional & Certified LinkedIn Recruiting Expert). He was globally ranked in the top 3 for the LinkedIn Experts forum (Hosted by LinkedIn Inc). He has more than 30,000 connections with a worldwide reach of almost 40,000,000 members. He belongs to a select group of super connectors who have broken the limits set by LinkedIn.

Ben is married to a housewife and has 2 rambunctious children. A badminton enthusiast with a keen interest in golf & scuba-diving. Collects stamps, cruising on a motorcycle and photography. He still believes that Elvis is still alive!

FRANCIS CHNG – ASSOCIATE TRAINER

Francis is a partner in a leading executive search firm, heading up the Hi Tech and Life Sciences Desk.

Over the last 10 years, he has successfully placed executives at all levels in the areas of sales, marketing, supply chain, legal and other core functional leadership positions locally and regionally covering the ASEAN region, Hong Kong, China and SEA.

Francis’s career coaching expertise, honed through years of Executive Search experience plus his personal experience in overcoming his own adversity, has helped countless business executives improve their personal careers through awareness and change management. His particular interest lies in the research and study of human psychological behaviors and body language.

Francis holds a MBA from the University of Strathclyde, UK. Over the last decade, he has impacted countless candidates and have personally placed several hundred professionals into various executive levels within the Technology and Life Science industry.

Apart from his professional life, Francis is an adjunct Lecturer with the University of Strathclyde Business School. Additionally he is also a certified NLP Practioner by the American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming (ABNLP). Today he is a successful Headhunter, career coach, adjunct lecturer, soon to be Author of his first book and a proud father of 2 kids focusing his time on the development of talents and raising the career profile of candidates in the market.
